The Stax Music Academy has put scholarships, which reduces these costs to participants, into place to ensure that all students who want to participate in Academy programming and see the merit of spending their time learning and growing at the Academy have the opportunity to do just that. This financial assistance is available in two forms: Need-based Scholarships and Merit-based Scholarships. 

Need-based Scholarships are based on the student’s household income and ability to pay. 

Merit-based Scholarships are given to students with strong musical and/or academic abilities, a high level of involvement in Academy programming, or other criteria designated by the specific merit-based scholarship. Merit-based Scholarships are awarded in December and May for active students.
